Volunteer Orientation & Dog Walker Training

Volunteer Orientation

(This orientation was rescheduled from 1/16 due to rain. It was raining cats and dogs!)

If you are interested in becoming an HSNB volunteer or foster parent, please join us at our campus for a tour of the facility and to hear about the many different ways you can help the homeless animals in our community. Volunteers play a vital role at HSNB.

Dog Walker Training

This class is mandatory to prepare volunteers to walk Humane Society of the North Bay’s dogs. Learn how to log in to our tracking system, how to to open the kennel locks, how to safely enter and exit kennels, the safe way to navigate the shelter grounds, and the policies and procedures necessary for keeping our residents happy, healthy and secure while they wait for their new homes.

First, apply to become a volunteer if you haven’t already, then email mswanson@hsnb.org or call 707- 645-7905, to sign up for the orientation and training.

We look forward to having you join us!
