We have many wonderful pets to adopt. All are in desperate need of a loving home. If you are thinking about adding a new dog or cat to your family, please consider one of our animals. We have friendly and knowledgeable staff available to help you choose a pet to best fit in with your needs and lifestyle.
Remember though, adding a pet to your family is a big decision. All animals require training and commitment. Some pets can live well into their teens and many may have special medical needs as they get older, such as medication, frequent checkups, etc., just like people. All these things, including the joy of having a loyal friend, should be factored in before you decide to take on this responsibility.

To adopt one of our pets, you must meet the following criteria:
HSNB’s adoption policy is to only adopt our dogs and cats to individuals and families looking to add a beloved pet to their family. We choose not to adopt to those planning to keep a dog or cat as an outside or backyard animal, as we do not consider that to be a safe, healthy, or humane environment.
Cats – $125 and up.
Kittens six months or younger – $225 and up.
Dogs – $200 and up
Puppies six months or younger – $300 and up
- Once the adoption or “foster to adopt” is completed, there are no monetary refunds.
- All adoptions have a two week return policy. If you return the pet within the first two (2) weeks from the date of adoption you will be given a non-transferable exchange voucher for the amount of the adoption fee minus $20. This voucher can be used to adopt one other animal within six months. No monetary refunds will be given.
- After the two (2) week return period has passed, and you decide that you can no longer care for the pet, you agree NOT to rehome the animal without contacting HSNB to discuss options for returning it or rehoming. A $50 surrender fee will be charged if the animal is surrendered back to HSNB.
Adoption Fees Include
- Spay or neuter
