From the article: “It’s no secret that the effects of COVID-19 have impacted local businesses and jobs, but nonprofits have also been hit, and the animal shelter in Vallejo is sadly no different.

The Humane Society of the North Bay has been struggling this year, according to board member Kristin Eddy. It’s not just that donations are down due to people being less able to help out, but more animals have been surrendered because their owners have found themselves without a job, or worse, without a home themselves.”
